Ritz Carlton Wedding Photographer | Kristen + Tim | Naples Wedding Photography

It all started on the evening of December 7, 2012 when Kristen and Tim met at each other’s Christmas after parties.  Kristen saw a tall handsome man who was well into the holiday spirit; Tim saw a pretty lady in a lovely holiday cat sweater thinking it was an “Ugly Christmas Sweater” (it was not).  Kristen and Tim were introduced by one of Kristen’s friends playing matchmaker that night and after chatting for some time, Tim, having had more than enough liquid courage, asked Kristen for her number. Initially resistant due to a personal rule not to give her number out at bars, Kristen eventually relented after some daring persistence. Tim asked her out for dinner the following weekend, which went so well that he invited her to his best man’s Christmas party afterwards to meet his friends.
After a couple of years, the time came for the happy couple to move in together. They were both very excited to spend more time together, but nervous about how the introduction would go between their “kids”; Damon & Cabo and Maggie. The concerns proved to be unfounded as the kitties and pup not only shared the house in harmony, but often followed each other around to be in the same room as one another.
Tim realized in short order that the time was now to lock this in. After developing a plan, buying a ring, and booking a “quick getaway weekend” to her dad’s condo in Naples, everything was set. That is, until the Chicago Cubs started making their way through the playoffs destined for their first World Series berth in 71 years, which just so happened to overlap with the “quick getaway weekend” they had booked. Kristen, not knowing the importance of what was to go down that weekend, agreed to move the dates so Tim could be at home to cheer on his beloved Cubbies. Sure enough, for the first time in 108 years, the Cubs won the World Series and the next day, they were off to sunny Florida.
During one of Kristen’s infamous “shell walks”, Tim found her on the beach and they began searching together for the ideal seashell. After a couple of hundred feet, he stopped and proclaimed, “I think I found a really good one”. Kristen turned around to find Tim on one knee bumbling through some words about how much he loved her and how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. She immediately teared up, said “Yes”, and the rest is history.
