Matt and Adrienne met in April 2009. Their first date was to Two Meatballs in a Kitchen in Fort Myers, FL. They talked nonstop for hours like they had known each other for years. They found they had many things in common and Adrienne told Matt maybe someday she would introduce him to scalloping…which they now do together on a yearly basis. In October 2010 they flew to Texas to visit Matt’s parents out on their ranch. Matt took Adrienne for a ride on the buggy around the property. They stopped by the dry creek and walked into the wooded area where there was a huge tree with a big hole in the bottom. Matt reached into the hole and pulled out an extremely real looking rattle snake which he flug at Adrienne! He was a little disappointed that it didn’t scare her but he knew that Adrienne knows he wouldn’t be near a real snake! Matt then asked Adrienne if she could put up with the “little shit” for the rest of her life. They walked out of the woods and he told her to put the snake back in the buggy. When she walked back over to him he had placed the ring on a rock in the dry creek bed. He then squatted down and said “Boo Bear will you marry me?” They were married October 24, 2012 at the Burroughs Home in a beautiful fall themed wedding joined by friends and family.
