Jennifer and Mike went on their first date at Mercadito in downtown Chicago for tacos and drinks. When they arrived and were seated at their table, the entire restaurant was packed. They shared several hours of never- ending conversations about similarities and common interests, including music, their love for seeing live music, their love for playing and watching sports, their similar careers in medical sales, and they learned that both their parents and grandparents were married for 40 years +, and that they both were incredibly close with their families of five. They never stopped talking, smiling, laughing, completely losing track of time on a week night, until they were tapped on the shoulder by a waitress, who kindly told them that unfortunately Mercadito was closed for the night. To Mike’s and Jennifer’s surprise, they looked around the restaurant and not one person was left besides themselves. Both Jennifer and Mike were amazed at how quickly the time had flown, and both thought the other one seemed like a match too good to be true. Jennifer and Mike shared many dates after the first one, talking and laughing for hours and constantly losing track of time, closing out more restaurants and bars as the last ones there, staying up way later than they meant to, wondering if they would ever actually sleep again. They both soon realized that none of the times they shared were too good to be true because every date was better than the one before.
In the summer of 2019, Jennifer and Mike shared one of the best weekends of their lives when they booked a last minute and spontaneous trip to Tomorrowland, the largest music festival in the world, in Boom, Belgium, attracting people from countries all over the world, and it turned out to be an experience of a lifetime shared together. The spontaneity in which they planned this trip exemplifies the fun type of relationship Jennifer and Mike share. Jennifer and Mike are both laid back and both like to have fun, and both knew right away that they had fallen for each other. Mike proposed to Jennifer on the beach in Marco Island, Florida in November, 2020, and they are so excited to return to Marco to make their love official.
