I am a designer, and worked with photography for many years. So when I was looking for a photographer for my wedding, I was very picky and looking for a certain style. I wanted colors that really popped! I wanted quality that far surpassed what my friends and family could take with a snap and shoot camera. Once I saw New Ground’s portfolio, I was in love.
The way they use lighting really makes their photography stand out from the rest. They can capture the light of a sunset, yet still have the bride and groom stand out. They are creative in their shots, and most of all – they are so much fun to work with! Greg and Alex are very professional, getting the best shots at every angle, but never getting in the way, you will never know they are there. This was very important to me during the ceremony, but also during the reception, while people were dancing and having fun, I didn’t want a camera in their face at all times.
One more thing that was very important to me, was that I was able to get a disc with all my images. Since I’m a designer, I wanted to have all the digital files to work with. A lot of photographers do not give you the images, and you have to purchase all prints through them.
New Ground Photography is professional, fun, and priced competitively. They have a very fast turnaround – my hubby and I were able to view the select photos while we were still on our honeymoon. It was awesome! You will not be disappointed if you hire New Ground Photography for your wedding!”

“My fiancé and I recently had our engagement photos done by these fabulous guys and had a blast! I can honestly say if I had not previously paid a deposit for wedding photographers, I would be shipping these guys 8 hours away to do our wedding photos! Not only are they fun and easy to work with, but the pictures turn out phenomenal! Out of the +200 pictures they gave us, I would be happy having at least 80 of them framed and put on display! We are having a hard time getting our top photos under 50 for a photobook! Even though you cannot go wrong with the beautiful locations we used, Alex and Greg actually made our settings even more beautiful. I’m not sure how you can enhance the beach and beautiful skies to make them even more attractive, but these guys somehow accomplished it. I would also like to mention how my fiancé HATES taking pictures – he has never been photogenic. He was secretly dreading having our photos done. But during the shoot he actually had fun and when we received our pictures from the guys, I think our entire family was stunned with how handsome he looked in ALL of his pictures. I’ve had several people ask me is he a model! These guys knew exactly what to say to make us both look our best, and they knew how to make us feel comfortable and have fun.
