Susan and Andy met through one of Susan’s life long friends who was one of the maids of honor in their wedding. Andy and Susan hit it off immediately, they both just knew that there was something special about the other, and that where ever one of them was, the other wanted to be. Susan was finishing up her Junior year at Elmhurst College where she was working on her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Psychology, while Andy was working and living over an hour away. The connection and love between them was well worth the daily commute for Susan, who would rather stay in Woodstock with Andy and drive to school and back instead of staying at her own apartment on campus. After things became more serious, Susan permanently moved in with Andy and his son, Jacob. Susan and Jake formed an instant bond and friendship which further showed Andy that she was the one who made his life complete. After a couple of years of dating, Andy proposed to Susan on her birthday at one of their favorite places to spend time at, Independence Grove Forest Preserve. He surprised her when out of no where, he got down on one knee (on rollerblades!) and asked Susan to spend the rest of her life with him. Susan’s parents captured the beautiful moment on camera and were overjoyed that Andy had planned for them to be a part of such a special moment in their lives. Andy and Susan were engaged for exactly one year before they married on Susan’s 25th birthday at Olde Cypress Clubhouse in Naples, Florida.
