Christy and Phil were introduced via the online dating scene. After little success with finding meaningful relationships the conventional way, they turned to technology to broaden their dating options. Their paths finally crossed through Christian Mingle in July 2014. As a city girl and suburban guy (with opposite and busy schedules), they got to know each other through email, txts and phone conversations for the first few weeks. They finally had their first official date on July 31st at Wilde, an Irish bar/restaurant in Chicago. From the first moment Phil smiled, Christy couldn’t help but be intrigued by this man who was so full of excitement and humor and so different from anyone she had ever met. So, when Phil asked for a second date (moments after their first date ended) she didn’t hesitate to say yes. From that moment on, not a day went by where they didn’t talk to or see each other.  After 13 months, their lives changed forever when Phil popped the question on Sept 4th, 2015. After a home-cooked meal and a slideshow of their year together, he got down on one knee and asked her to be his forever. They celebrated that evening with family and friends atop the Virgin Hotel with beautiful weather, a gorgeous view, and a champagne toast to their new life together. When it came to planning the wedding, the couple knew that they wanted to get married with a beach-side ceremony. After researching destinations, they settled on Marco Island, Florida, and, after visiting the Hilton there, they knew they had found their magical place for their special day. The day they became husband and wife was the most special day of their lives. They were thankful God brought them together and blessed to be surrounded by family and friends who traveled the distance to see them unite as husband and wife. They enjoyed their perfect beach ceremony and the amazing weather, beautiful sunset and an evening filled with dancing, joy, love and laughter. It truly was an experience of a lifetime, one they will never forget.
