When David, the groomsmen walked Alexis the bridesmaid down the aisle, The story unfolds that he will be walking her back up the aisle as his wife someday! That’s where their story begins in Dayton Ohio, the bride’s home town in the backyard of the Zimmers house. A handsome, tan, beautiful smile, well dressed, “shy” groomsman meets and extrodinary, beautiful, outgoing, happy, bridesmaid in cowboy boots. He never stopped calling, actually picking up the phone and calling…. not texting! He lived in Tampa and she lived in Marco Island. She would take him out fishing 20 miles off shore, bike riding, walking the beach, and watching the sunset. He would show her a good time in Tampa with all the events, concerts, parades, Bucs games, Gator Games, fine dining and best night life has to offer. After a year of driving three hours back and forth they both graduated with their Masters degree and then she moved to Tampa and he kept calling…..

THE PROPOSAL

On a family vacation on a sunset paddle board adventure with a bottle of champagne and the best question a girl could be asked, David Said, “WILL YOU BE MY WIFE” and Alexis Said, “YES”! Then a huge rainstorm came and they drifted down towards the horizon in the keys celebrating their true love story as Alexis and David. What you may not know of this great proposal is the wind picked up, the water got choppy and was a little too rough to turn around and paddle back upstream so they drifted quickly downstream, had to climb out on slippery rock pile w/ the bottle of champagne and paddle board and called the brides dad and let him know, “we are engaged……. can you come rescue us?” and he came willingly with the Grooms sister and friends, and then they celebrated with family and friends at the Lobster house and lived happily ever after.

THE WEDDING on October 24 2015

After a fabulous dinner rehearsal outside on the patio at the Mariott, Sunset, Italian cousine, string lights, guitarist, and being surrounded by loved ones to celebrate and witness their marriage, David walked her out to the car and kissed her goodnight, he went back to his hotel room and Lexi went back to her family’s house even though they didn’t want to separate that night they thought it would be best. Waking up after a year of planning the Bride was ready to let go of all her work and let the show go on and enjoy it, every moment!! The groom was allowing the anticipation to grow and the excitement for his day and his bride.  The first look was happy, peaceful, and pleasant and the couples beautiful great dane Finn was involved in the first look as well which kept them calm and Happy! Everything moved so fast and smooth for the bride and groom and before they knew it they were Husband and Wife dancing their first dance “cheerleader” to their amazing band on their white dance floor. They went out for sunset photos on the beach to be by the water which was a beautiful time to be together, they got engaged in the water, engagement photos in the water and as bride and groom near the water, the bride wasn’t ready to get her gown wet! They danced the night away and celebrated with all their family and friends, they missed the ones who were unable to be there but hold them close to their hearts.  The groom was surprised when they cake came out to the “Gator Chomp” FL gators and a Gator ice sculpture holding the bouquet and garter in his mouth, since they chose not to do the grooms cake!  The bride a cheerleader in college and professional for the Cincinnati Bengals had pom poms circulating around the dance floor all night that added the shine and the life of the party!! As the newlyweds embrace there love for each other their first dance lyrics is that she will always be his cheerleader through life’s changes and he will always stay by her side. The Day After finished their wedding weekend at Marco Island Yacht Club Farewell Brunch as they boated away with a “Just Married” flag and decorated boat for the perfect goodbye into the Gulf’s Sun!!!
